What should I expect at my consultation?
For new patients, consultations will last 30 minutes. Follow up consultations will often last 20 minutes. You will be seen and a thorough history taken, followed by an examination depending on your presenting complaint. This may include procedures like ear microsuction, flexible nasoendoscopy or stroboscopy. Following this a personalised management plan will be made with you and you will be given any prescriptions if this is required. Your report will follow within 48 hours. For Friday/Saturday appointments, this will be with you by end of play Tuesday.
What can I do to prepare for my consultation?
Please ensure you bring a list of your medications with you. If you have any investigations or scans you have had elsewhere and would like to discuss, please ensure you have shared these with our secretary in advance to make the most of your consultation.
Fees and Consultations
For self funding patients, our fees are listed below
New patient consultation 30 minutes from £225
Follow up consultation 20 minutes from £190
If there are any additional diagnostic procedures during the consultation like flexible nasal endoscopy or flexible laryngopharyngoscopy, there may be an additional facility fee, set out by the hospital/clinic where the consultation is taking place. We do not set these fees and these will be charged to you directly by the clinic.
For private medical insurance patients, fees will be settled between our practice and your insurer. However, if there is an excess to pay directly to our practice, your insurance will inform you.
